Visual Instructions for Submitting an Article



Note: You must be on the Submit page to carry out these instructions. It may be helpful to have both this page and the Submit page open in two different windows or tabs.

These directions are the same as those found on the Submit page. All references to this page were changed to the Submit Page.

Adding Articles
    • 1. Click the edit button at the top of the Submit Page.




Clicking the Edit This Page tab

brings you to the editor. Choose between the
Visual editor

or the
Text Editor

    • 2. Add your article to the bottom of the Submit Page. If you are using the formatted text editor, simply click the link button on the editing toolbar and invoke a dialog to add the link. Type the name of your new page in the "wiki link" area and click the "okay" button.If you are using the plain text editor, do this by typing a name for your page inside of double square brackets. If your article is called "Using Arrays", your link would look like this: * [[Using Arrays]] Save the editing of this page.



To add your article to the bottom of the page, scroll down to the end.

You can either click the link button on the editing tool bar and name your article and page.

or you can just use brackets to type the page name and article title in.

After your [[PageName|Title of Article]] appears at the bottom of the list, add your name and Save your edits.

    • 3. View this page and click on the link you just created.


Back in View mode, click on the link you just created.

    • 4. On the new page, click the edit link and type or paste your article.


You will be brought to the editor for your new page. Click on Edit This Page.

    • 5. Please place your name and the date at the top of your article, along with a descriptive title.


Include your name and date at the top of the article.
Express the date as {$creationdate} so the creation date of the page will be added automatically.

Example: This page was created on Sep 9, 2009 7:09 am

    • 6. Save your edits. That's all there is to it!
